    As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 375 people, 149 households, and 101 families residing in the town. The population density was 777.4 people per square mile (301.6/km²). There were 181 housing units at an average density of 375.2 per square mile (145.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 76.00% White, 1.33% African American, 2.40% Native American, 17.07% from other races, and 3.20% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 31.20% of the population.

    There were 149 households out of which 32.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.0% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2% were non-families. 30.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.18.

    In the town, the population was spread out with 26.7% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
