    Smoaks is located in northern Colleton County at 33°05′27″N 80°48′39″W / 33.090951°N 80.810733°W / 33.090951; -80.810733.[4]U.S. Route 21 passes through the town, leading north 28 miles (45 km) to Orangeburg and south 31 miles (50 km) to Yemassee.
