    Holloman Air Force Base (IATA: HMN, ICAO: KHMN, FAA LID: HMN) is a United States Air Force base established in 1942 located six miles (10 km) southwest of the central business district of Alamogordo, and a census-designated place in Otero County, New Mexico, United States. The base covers 59,639 acres (24,135 ha) and is located at an altitude of 4,093 feet (1,248 m).

    The base is also a census-designated place (CDP), which had a population of 2,076 at the 2000 census.[1] According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 12.7 square miles (33 km2), of which, 12.5 square miles (32 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) of it (1.18%) is water.
