    Sullivan City is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas. The population was 4,002 at the 2010 United States Census.[1] It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission and Reynosa–McAllen metropolitan areas.

    Sullivan City was name for Captain Ed Sullivan, a World War veteran, who owned a ranch. The town was formally opened in 1908. In 1911, the town was incorporated with Sam Hargrove as Mayor.
