    Nice is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, California, United States.[2] Nice is located 4.5 miles (7.2 km) southeast of Upper Lake,[3] at an elevation of 1362 feet (415 m).[2] The population was 2,731 at the 2010 census, up from 2,509 at the 2000 census.

    The 2010 United States Census[4] reported that Nice had a population of 2,731. The population density was 1,580.9 people per square mile (610.4/km²). The racial makeup of Nice was 2,187 (80.1%) White, 65 (2.4%) African American, 159 (5.8%) Native American, 42 (1.5%) Asian, 7 (0.3%) Pacific Islander, 123 (4.5%) from other races, and 148 (5.4%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 384 persons (14.1%).

    There were 1,234 households, out of which 291 (23.6%) had children under the age of 18 living in them, 428 (34.7%) were opposite-sex married couples living together, 160 (13.0%) had a female householder with no husband present, 88 (7.1%) had a male householder with no wife present.
